Production Blog

 It is now the day after spring break. We didn't discuss any plans with each other during the time. We are still left on the same page which is what day to begin filming. There isn't much to say as of right now on when that will be because we haven't talked yet.  I managed to find two more people to play characters but it hasn't been confirmed that they will be able to do it. Since we don't have a day, they won't know if they are free to do it so they chose not to make any promises. I agree with this decision and hope they would be able to make it when we film. I took a look at our storyboard to see if there is anything that could be changed to make the opening sequence better. For slides 47-53, Kim looks into a pond at her own reflection. Instead of changing the part, I came up with an alternative. So if we don't have a pond, Faith can catch kim looking at her reflection in a bathroom mirror. Ciaya hasn't found another camera to film with so we will be sticking with our original equipment plan. As for any new locations, I found another good park to film at. However, when I called to ask if they are open for us to come and film, I was told they don't allow filming at their park. We didn't make any changed to our editing plan. If any changes were made they were made by Rohanna, she is in charge of editing. It is fine though because we already have a park.Any changes we make will be updated.

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. They both have worked diligently and hard to get where they are today and I look up to them for that. Also, I hope to work as hard as them and start my own adult life one day. Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot. Second scene Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot. Third Scene After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.
