Filming Blog for Powerade Commercial

 On November 1st, I began filming my Powerade commercial. Originally I was supposed to film on a track field or a gym, however I wasn't able to find an area that would allow me to film. I also lost an actor that was supposed to be in the commercial. I then decided to do a home workout commercial. As the director and only actor, I prepared my props and costume for filming. I used my phone camera and a ladder to record each scene and positioned it to the angles I needed for the commercial. I put on my workout gear and began to record myself doing exercises. I did jumping jacks, high knee runs, and squats with a resistance band. I then moved the later and positioned my camera to get a close up shot of me reaching into my bag to grab the Powerade bottle. I had to re-film this clip many times to get it the way I wanted it. After recording that part, I moved my camera up a few steps of the ladder to get a close up shot of me drinking the Powerade. I made sure to turn the bottle to make the word Powerade face the camera. I also had to re-film this a couple of times so when it came to editing I have a numerous amount of clips to insert into the commercial. This entire process took about 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete. I had multiple takes and filming really helped me learn how to record camera shots and angles, in which I need to work on more. I also need to work on expressions. This commercial needs a lot of work until it is complete, however I have gotten really far into the process of completing it.

Filming for our Music Video

 On November 22, we filmed the scenes for our music video. The location we planned to film at ended up being closed and we had to relocate to a new area last minute. After we found a new area to film, we noticed we may have to make some changes to the storyboard. Originally, the setting of our first scene was supposed to be placed on a basketball court, however there wasn't any courts in the area we were filming. Instead we changed the scene to Actor 1 sitting down and searching their bag leading to an act of bullying from pedestrians. Thankfully, it linked perfectly to the other scenes. In addition, our storyboard included a bridge scene that we ended up having to switch to a river scene. We didn't really change what happens during the scene. Actor 1 and Actor 2 still meets at the area and hugs. The only difference is that Actor 1 walks to a river to drown themselves instead of a bridge to jump. Creative Critical Reflection for Our Music Video

We decided to go with the park as our location because our storyline doesn’t really need a specific location. It relates to people who live their everyday lives and the park is a common location many people tend to go to, therefore we chose this location. Also, we believed that choosing the park would give us different locations within the area to shoot at such as the bathroom, path, bench,etc. All locations for our product was taken during the daytime. We created our storyboard to match the song’s meaning which was about suicide prevention. We wanted to highlight the issues many people face in their lives and then send a message letting these people know they aren’t the only one and it will get better soon. Logic Music Video ( School Project)

 Finally our music video is done! After all the planning, filming and editing we're finally finished with our 1-800-273-8255 music video. It was such a fun learning experience doing this project. The effort and dilligence my team put in has been outstanding. I really appreciate them and I couldn't have done this entire project without them. There is a lot we can take from working on this project.  We adapted to each others way of doing things and even managed to learn new things from each other such as tricks in acting, filming, and editing. Also, we believe that when it comes to teamwork, we have improved and are able to harmonize our skills to reach a goal.
