Production Blog

 So far, our project has been on pause since we have yet to film and edit. The group has discussed what is needed to be done. We plan to film this weekend or some time during spring break. It is still hard to determine an exact day due to our busy schedules. Idline has work on Sunday and Wednesday, Rohanna hasn't received her schedule yet but is most likely to work 4 days in the week, I have practice and appointments to attend throughout the week, and Ciaya may have practice. In the meantime, I decided to take a look at our storyboard to see if there are any changes that could be made to make the opening sequence better. One of the scenes involves Kim jumping into a lake as an attempt to commit suicide so she doesn't have to watch Jules die or be alone when she dies. The location we plan to film at may not have a lake and as an alternative we will use a bridge or maybe a weapon to make it look like she is trying to hurt herself. It is good to come up with these alternatives while we have the time so we wont have to face any delays in the future. Especially after this long delay to film. Also, we drew some things in our storyboard that may be difficult to edit. For example, we don't know if we can edit in the thinking bubbles in the storyboard. If we can't we can simply do a voiceover.

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot. Second scene Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot. Third Scene After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.
