Production Blog

Since the last blog was posted, we have made no changes to anything related to this project. The reason for this is because we did not communicate with each other this week. All of us were focusing on school, jobs, etc. We could not find the time to thoroughly discuss anything such as dates to film, changes to the storyboard, or any new locations. So far we still have no date to film, we have our location, and we fixed our storyboard. With that being said, we plan to discuss this weekend when we have more free time. Hopefully, we can complete filming by next week so we can begin the editing process. In the last blog I said I found someone to act in our film. Jules was decided to be played by a friend of mine. She is currently available to film whenever she wants, which is reassuring. We won't have to stress over whether or not she'll be able to make it on set. She also drives, so if any of us need transportation, she will be able to provide it.That person is still available to film. I don't know about my groupmates, however I have not found any new actors to be in our opening sequence. There isn't much else to say about this project.

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. They both have worked diligently and hard to get where they are today and I look up to them for that. Also, I hope to work as hard as them and start my own adult life one day. Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot. Second scene Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot. Third Scene After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.
