Starting the Final Task

  My name is Nishayla Hamilton and I am an 11th grader attending Fort Lauderdale High School. For my final project I have teamed up with Idline Altema, Ciaya Cook, and Rohanna Wollaston. I decided to work with them because I have teamed up with them before for a different project. Working with them allowed me to learn new things such as recording skills, editing skills, acting, etc. Idline knows many things about cameras and filming and she taught me a few tips and tricks to recording. One of the most useful things I've learned from her was how to find the best lighting and get a good angle. To this day, I use her advice whenever I am taking a photo or video. Rohanna and I traded a few tips on editing between each other. She didn't teach me much due to the fact that I already had some knowledge on how to edit but the things she told me were still very beneficial and I hope to learn more from her during this project. Ciaya taught me how to fake cry and how to make it look believable. It was really fun working with these people and I can't wait to start this new project with them.

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. They both have worked diligently and hard to get where they are today and I look up to them for that. Also, I hope to work as hard as them and start my own adult life one day. Although I spend most of my days focusing on my future, I take my mind off of it to enjoy my hobbies which include fashion, dance, and flag. Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot. Second scene Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot. Third Scene After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.
