Planning for my Powerade commercial


 PROPS

The target prop will be a Powerade bottle and other props will include a sports ball (basketball, soccer ball, football,etc) and towels. If our location is at the gym, exercise bands and weights may be used in the commercial.


 COSTUMES

Actor(s) will be wearing sportswear which will include running shoes, gym shorts or leggings, and a t-shirt, jersey, or a sports bra. Actor(s) hair will be put up into a ponytail or whatever style they would wear it when being active. 


SCHEDULE

10/23/2020- Commercial Conventions for the Powerade commercial

10/23/2020- Props, Costumes, Schedule, Location, and Backup plan will be established

10/27/2020 -Storyboard will be created and established

10/28/2020-10/30/2020 - Necessary shots will be recorded for commercial

10/28/2020-10/30/2020 -Editing and finalizing for the commercial

11/6/2020- Reflection for the commercial


LOCATION

The location will be set at an outdoor area. It will be a basketball court or a track field. Actor(s) will either be playing basketball on the court or running on the track. After getting a good exercise in and they appear to be sweaty, they will reach for the Powerade drink. This will let viewers know that you can drink Powerade after getting active.


BACKUP PLAN

If it rains on the day of recording or I am unable to use an outdoor area to record, I will transition to a gym. The gym is another location where people get active. Actor(s) will be using the equipment used in the gym and after a good workout they will reach to drink the Powerade.

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot. Second scene Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot. Third Scene After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.
