Intro Blog

 

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself"- George Bernard Shaw. My name is Nishayla Hamilton and I am an 11th grader attending Fort Lauderdale High School. I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. They both have worked diligently and hard to get where they are today and I look up to them for that. Also, I hope to work as hard as them and start my own adult life one day. Although I spend most of my days focusing on my future, I take my mind off of it to enjoy my hobbies which include fashion, dance, and flag. Sometimes I even lay back and enjoy my favorite heist movies or anime shows, while munching on my favorite snacks which include, Takis and Ritz Bitz. When it comes to school, math is my strongest subject in which I spend my time calculating numerical problems. I am an "ambivert", meaning I could be both an extrovert or an introvert when it comes to socializing. I am a superb communicator and people find me as a very cooperative person. In 10 years, I see myself as a youtuber, living on my own, and making my own money from working a job, however one of my long term goals is to become a fashion designer. I am taking this class not only for the Cambridge credit that goes towards the diploma, but because I would like to know more about filming, especially since I like taking pictures and videos of myself. I could learn about lighting and angles to improve my skills in photograph. To add on, I find it really entertaining learning about how scenes in movies and shows I watch were made. After taking this class, I would like to be able to pinpoint film-making styles in the movies, shows, and videos that I watch.
