Planning Storyboard for my Powerade commercial

 First Scene

The commercial will start off with Actor 1 running on a track. Powerade is a drink that was made for people who exercise and stay fit, especially athletic people. I chose to do an outdoor workout so that viewers understands that Powerade targets active people. It will be a close-up and tracking shot, however if that can not be accomplished it will be a wide shot.

Second scene

Actor 1 proceeds to build up a sweat by running up stairs or bleachers. This will be a low angle, mid shot.

Third Scene

After a long workout, Actor 1 takes out a Powerade drink and takes a large gulp from it. The Powerade logo will be facing the camera, so viewers who have never seen the drink know what it is. This will be a close-up shot.

Fourth Scene

As Actor 1 packs up and begins to leave holding the Powerade drink, they notice Actor 2 out of breath from exercising and dehydrated. This will be a mid shot.

Fifth Scene

Actor 1 takes out an extra Powerade drink from their bookbag. This will be a mid shot. A close up shot of Actor 2's face as they notice Actor 1 is handing them a drink will be captured. In addition, another close up shot of Actor 1 smiling as they hand the drink over will be captured. 

Sixth Scene

This scene will include a black background with the word Powerade and then one of their slogans("Power Through", "The Power of Love", "There's power in every game", or "Go stronger for longer") will transition into the scene. 

*Each scene will last between 5-6 seconds and music will play over and throughout the commercial*

Editing for my Powerade Commercial

 Once I had all my scenes collected, I began editing. I am very glad I took more than one take of each scene because when I was inserting some clips, they didn't fit correctly with the other clips. Some clips were recording in landscape mode and some were recorded in portrait, however I managed to combine the two, to make everything fit. The length of each of my clips were too long and made the total time of my commercial 1 minute and 11 seconds. All of the clips taken where I was exercising were way to long. I had to crop every clip down a couple of seconds to meet the correct time limit of 30 seconds. Next, I decided to apply a filter to the each clip to add an effect for the commercial. After applying the filter, I went to another editing app to  create the Powerade scene and added it into the commercial. After fixing the scenes, I saved the video and opened up a new project to insert the background music. When it came to the song choice, I wanted a certain part of the song...

I was born in Coral Springs, Florida on August 20th, 2004. I am a visionary and ambitious leader who plans to strive for success. I work on accomplishing both short-term and long-term goals that I set. My parents were very poor when they were around my age and decided to move to the U.S. to seek a better life when they got older. They both have worked diligently and hard to get where they are today and I look up to them for that. Also, I hope to work as hard as them and start my own adult life one day.
